Last spring I followed a course offered by the astronomy group Galileo. The most exciting upcoming news discussed there was the collision of a gas cloud with the black hole in our galaxy. Astronomers are keenly looking forward what will happen when this collision will take place. Will the gas cloud fall into the black hole (entirely of for a part) or will the gas cloud only be diverted? We will find out really soon.
